Since its debut in 2022, the Jeff Madewell Music Festival has become a beloved summer tradition in Western Ohio, bringing together the area’s finest musicians to honor the memory of legendary guitarist/singer/songwriter/humanitarian Jeff Madewell. Proceeds from the event benefit the Jeff Madewell Memorial Fund at Milton-Union High School to help a musically gifted student who may or may not be on academic track for musical studies – but is actively engaged in the creation and/or performance of music.

Each year, the best local acts – many who were personally touched by Jeff’s legacy – donate their time and talent to support our fundraising efforts. This year, you’ll hear everything from singalong acoustic performances to jaw-dropping progressive jams. Plus, enjoy special surprise collaborations that always make this one of the summer’s most anticipated events.
2026 BAND SCHEDULE:
3:00-10:00PM
(in order of performance)
Bob Madewell & Company
Act 3 with special guest Erin Higgins Cress

Holler and Swaller! Coolers are welcome at the Jeff Madewell Music Fest and the event is BYOB. However, we urge you to drop by and enjoy some of the great food and refreshments from our three food vendors on-site:
Timeless Tacos
Featuring fresh tacos and traditional spices in their own special fusion
Topped and Loaded
Preparing crispy fries, potato wedges, tater tots and giant baked potatoes
Susie’s Big Dipper
With small batch premium ice creams that redefine indulgence to grilled favorites

Each year, you can purchase commemorative Madewell Music Fest tees at the event in addition to other classic Madewell merch. If you order in advance from our online Merch store, we can have your order waiting for you when you arrive at the show. Selection and quantities are limited, but you can typically choose from:
T-shirts
Long sleeve tees
Tanks
Sweatshirts
Hats
Bandanas

As a musician, Jeff Madewell was a virtuoso guitarist and a fixture in the local music scene, anchoring popular local music acts like Madewell, Love Junkie and Higgins-Madewell. But, as a human being, he was even more exceptional. He led a humble life full of compassion and generosity, organizing massive yearly food and clothing drives for a Native-American tribe in South Dakota, playing countless benefit shows and unselfishly sharing his time, talent and razor-sharp sense of humor with a widely diverse group of friends and neighbors, who all considered him their best friend. Most impressively, he did it all while overcoming years of physical challenges, losing his eyesight at the age of 19 and battling cancer and heart issues for much of his adult life before eventually taking his final bow in 2022. Perhaps this short video from 2009 best gives a glimpse into the light he shined onto our world.

Thanks for your interest in the Jeff Madewell Music Fest. Here are answers to the most commonly asked questions we encounter each year.
Q: Is there an admission fee for the event?
A: Yes, $5 per person.
Q: Are alcoholic beverages permitted?
A: Yes, the event is also BYOB and we urge you to drink responsibly.
Q: Is overnight camping permitted?
A: Yes, primitive camping is available on Saturday night for $10.
Q: Is there assigned seating?
A: No, we urge you to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Q: Can I bring a pop-up tent?
A: Yes, but please set up away from center-stage out of courtesy for the rest of the crowd.
Q: Is there an ATM on site?
A: We do not have an ATM and limited ability to accept credit cards. While our food vendors will accept cards, we urge guests to bring cash if possible, for event merchandise, raffles and door prize drawings.
Q: Can you tell me the exact time a band is playing?
A: Because of the many logistics involved, we can’t give exact times, but typically a new band will start every 75 minutes. View our band lineup online or at the event to look at the order of appearance.
Q: Any suggestions on what else to bring along?
A: We’re in a large open field, so grab your sunscreen, bug spray, lawn chair and cooler.
Q: Is the event rain or shine?
A: Yes, within reason. If threatening weather is in the forecast, we’ll make any special announcements on this website the morning of the show.
